All CSV tools
29 free tools for CSV files, grouped by what you want to do. Each one runs in your browser without an account, so your file stays on your device.
View & create
Open a file to read it, edit it like a spreadsheet, or get realistic test data to try a tool with.
Clean & organize
Keep the rows you need, fix values and structure, and change how the file itself is written.

Common multi-step tasks
The file you open stays available in every tool during your visit, but each tool starts from that file as you opened it, not from another tool’s result. To continue with a result, such as the cleaned rows, a new column layout or a merged table, choose “Open in editor” first and then select the next tool. A large result that is written in streaming mode can’t be opened that way: download it and open the downloaded file in the next tool.
Prepare an export for a database import
Check the structure first, remove stray spaces and duplicate rows, rename the columns to match the target table, then generate the SQL script.
Fix a CSV that opens wrongly in Excel
Find ragged rows and mixed line endings, rewrite the file with the delimiter and encoding Excel expects, or skip the import and create an .xlsx that keeps leading zeros.
Combine monthly exports and see what changed
Stack the months into one file, compare this month with the previous one by a key column, then total the result in a pivot table.
Turn rows into a short report
Keep only the rows you need, summarize them, chart the totals and save the table as a printable PDF.
Move a contact list to a phone
Tidy names and email addresses, rename the columns so they are recognized as name, phone and email, then download a single .vcf file.
Which tool should I use?
- CSV viewer · CSV editor · CSV pivot table and analysis
- The viewer reads, searches, sorts and filters a file without changing it. The editor is for changing cells, rows and columns and downloading the result. The pivot table and analysis tool is for totals: pivot tables, column statistics and SQL queries.
- Clean CSV data · Change CSV delimiter and encoding · Rename and reorder CSV columns
- Clean CSV data changes values: spaces, empty and duplicate rows, letter case. Change CSV delimiter and encoding keeps every value and changes only how the file is written: delimiter, quotes, line endings and encoding. Rename and reorder CSV columns changes the layout: column names, their order and which columns are kept.
- Merge or join CSV files · Compare CSV files
- Merge or join CSV files puts files together, either by stacking their rows or by joining two files on a key column. Compare CSV files keeps two versions apart and lists the rows that were added, removed or changed.
- CSV to SQL · CSV to SQLite
- CSV to SQL writes a text script of CREATE TABLE and INSERT (or upsert) statements for PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, SQLite or SQL Server. CSV to SQLite builds a finished .sqlite database file that you can open directly.
